The Cards

The Original Counselling Cards depict 131 emotions across 120 cards (some cards have a reversed meaning, e.g., 'Support' can be reversed to also mean 'No Support'). The cards are extra-large at 12cm x 8cm to support accessibility. They are made of thick high-quality card with a robust gloss finish, are in full colour, and contain no confusing prompts, questions or any other text except for the emotion they depict. They are designed to connect directly to the emotional core of the user.

Frequently Asked Question:
"Can you just post a PDF of all 120 cards?"

Answer:
There are three reasons why the hard copies are a better option for purchase:
1) Turning our leading product into a free PDF file would see our publishing company fail before it had a chance to fly! We have plans for additional publications, so we need the opportunity to grow.

2) The cards are made with extra-thick card and a gloss finish to ensure durability, and they are printed using industrial printers. They are also extra-large (bigger than a typical playing card deck). Home-printed cards on A4 paper or shop-bought card wouldn't last very long.

3) Most home and work printers could not cope with the 76cm x 53cm size of the double-sided Spread Mat. It is also printed on special 'poster' paper with a durable finish to ensure its lifespan.
HOWEVER! We have posted PDF files of the Instruction Booklet and the Card Menu in case you lose them: they are small enough to print at home.
