Accessibility Adjustments on this Site

We have adapted this site to ensure minimal visual disruption: no flashing images and no videos which may confuse or disrupt the viewer, or disrupt the workings of the website (by loading slowly, etc).

  • The language of the site is set to English; Google translate will convert the website into any language (found in the top right of your browser: looks like three dots in a vertical row);

  • We have used many pictures to assist visual learners in the absorption of information;

  • The content of the site’s pages is simple and minimalistic to ensure understanding;

  • We have used defined, clear headings on all of the site’s pages;

  • We have ensured that text accompanies all images to explain what the images refer to;

  • We have implemented a calm colour combination of cream and white to ensure no visual overload (which can trigger migraines);

  • We have reduced the use of motion on the site;

  • We have ensured that all tabs are clearly labelled and accessible to users by keeping them in the top bar.

Counselling Cards: Designed with Accessibility in Mind

Our Counselling Cards were designed with both emotions and accessibility in mind. They are larger than regular tarot cards at 12cm x 8cm. This ensures the images on the cards are clearer to see, and the emotions described on them are also clearer to read.

There are no written prompts, suggestions, questions, or other written directions on the cards as there may be on other decks. This was intentional by the author to enable the emotions on the cards to remain the focus, and to not divert the user away from their feelings. The aim of this rich and beautiful deck is to connect the user to an image on a simple emotional level with no other sensory hurdles. Our Counselling Cards are particularly supportive of visual learners and neurodiverse adults, who learn/communicate better through uninterrupted images, colours, shapes, pictures, and feelings.

Our exclusive Spread Mat is also intentionally large to enable easy use: place settings for the cards are clearly described with 'Card Here' in large bold font. In addition, the instructions on the Spread Mat ('I Started My Journey Here', 'I Am Currently Here' and 'My Desired Outcome') are in larger bold font, to simplify the use of the Spread Mat.
